Our repertoire spans a wide spectrum: it ranges from motets and cantatas form the Renaissance period, to sacred songs and hymns, folk song from different countries, Afro-American spirituals, barbershop-style songs and other popular music styles like pop and blues.
Singing forms an integral part of our lives, and we are an intimate group of friends, the name Canto Amici, “Singing Friends” seemed obvious. Canto Amici (CA) is a unique, fresh and local a cappella male group.
The group was established in March 2007 and ever since has given numerous concerts and performances. CA not only caters for the classical connoisseur but its range of different music genres and styles appeals to young and old!

Two weeks ago I got into a taxi when one of my own coloured brothers (the taxi driver) turned around, looked at me and said: “God help us all just look at you with your obese ‘ness’ nogal. I wanted to answer: “My obese’ness’ is none of your business!” But then I remembered: “NEVER ARGUE WITH A FOOL ‘CAUSE THEY WILL BRING YOU DOWN TO THEIR LEVEL AND BEAT YOU WITH EXPERIENCE.”
