The South African, Merushka Peterson, smiles worldwide on an advertisement and advertises therewith for a study in Germany. The 19-year-old student of the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU) was selected for the campaign "Study in Germany – Land of Ideas" of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
Merushka Peterson is very proud to represent Germany: "I hope that I convince foreign students to pursue their studies in Germany, for to me, it is a priviledge. Halle is like a second home meanwhile". Merushka Peterson studies Nutritional Sciences since October 2009. For that, she receives a full scholarship out of the general foundation fund of the MLU. Before coming to Germany the 19-year-old attended the German School in Pretoria.
