When I decided to “stay in” a few Thursdays ago, I was pleasantly taken aback by SABC 2 and was immediately reminiscent of an era that was buried in my subconscious. “Onder engele”, starring Christo Davids (Errol, 7de laan) as “Dial”, a small boy who lived in the community of District six, based on the eve of forced removal of then coloured people from District six as part of the then Group Areas Act. The experience was the same for me as it was just over a decade ago and that I must say signified the combination of high quality scriptwriting, directing and acting and that was just another reminder of how fortunate I was to know the man behind the cast and cameras of this tryst of historic threnodies, Anthony Wilson.
